AZCO designed and manufactured a slitter station with a single unwind, a single rewind for a release liner, and a dual differential shaft slip-clutch rewind.
- The material is placed onto a tension-controlled brake unwind. The tension is controlled by a particle brake.
- The release liner will be removed and rewound prior to the non-lined material entering a shear-cut slitting station.
- The precision high-accuracy shear-cut slitting station uses fixed tooling to slit material to the exact size.
- After being slit, material passes through a roll feeder which advances the material.
- After exiting the roll feeder, the material passes along material guides and onto a dual-shaft differential rewind.
- Independent rolls of material are collected by the rewind. Rolls of trim can be collected as well.
- Each respective strip of material is rewound onto either the top or bottom of the two differential rewind shafts.
- The cantilevered design of all rewinds in the overall process allows for quick and easy loading and unloading of materials.
- An easy to use touch screen is provided to control the process and adjust settings.
- All components are mounted to an equipment table with a sturdy aluminum baseplate.
