Requirements:

This application required precisely cutting wax paper material into pieces from a roll form and being installed into the customer application.

Material: Wax paper with a maximum width of 610mm [24”] and maximum thickness of 5mm [0.19”]

Our Solution:

AZCO Corp. designed and manufactured a modular guillotine knife assembly with a spring clamp and modified blade angle to precisely cut pieces of wax paper material from a roll form.

  • Material is fed into the guillotine knife assembly by the customer application.
  • A spring clamp holds the material in place as it travels through the knife assembly.
  • A stainless-steel blade with reduced blade angle makes a cut in the material.
  • The material is then picked up by the customer’s application.
  • Knife assembly features all stainless-steel components and can easily be mounted and installed in any position for convenient operation.
  • Unit has a modified air cylinder to reduce stroke as much as possible.
  • The spring-loaded clamp holds the material in place to improve cut quality and accuracy.
  • The spring-loaded clamp also features a silicone pad to prevent material from being damage.
  • Unit is pneumatically operated.
  • Unit requirements: Air requirement: 2.75-6bar [40-90PSI]
