Requirements:

This application required precisely cutting rolls of flexible tubing with added lubrication to allow for better product handling of tacky material.

Material: Rolls of flexible tubing with different diameters and maximum of 2”.

Our Solution:

AZCO Corp. designed and manufactured a custom automatic bench top tubing cutter with lubrication system ideal for precisely cutting flexible tubing up to 2” in diameter in roll form.

  • Material is loaded on to the horizonal unwind.
  • Unwind is spec’d to accept variable spool sizes.
  • The core shaft and vertical fingers will hold the material spool.
  • Vertical fingers can be adjusted and tension loaded.
  • Drive motor contains a consistent loop of material.
  • Loop will feedback to the motor control and create consistent tension.
  • Rocker switch allows the unit to change direction for easy setup and versatility.
  • Unwind will handle a material spool with a maximum OD of 590mm [23”] and ID range of 150mm [7.09”] to 345mm [13.58”]
  • Tubing is fed into the infeed guide.
  • Material is then pulled into a dual drive tractor belt system.
  • Belts are turned by a high accuracy, low maintenance indexing motor.
  • The upper belt is pre-loaded for good contact which increases accuracy.
  • Material guides can fit tubing up to 2” [50mm] in diameter.
  • Lubrication system utilizes a pump with a timer to dispense liquid and a flow control to regulate the amount of alcohol dispensed.
  • Knife is contained in clear safety guarding.
  • Blades are stainless steel.
  • The unit has a color touchscreen for easy setup and operation.
  • Custom cut lengths and cycles can be input into the unit’s touchscreen.
  • Unit requirements: Power Requirements: 110VAC 50-60Hz[220VAC optional] | Air requirement: 2.75-6 bar [40-90 PSI].
