Requirements:
This application required slitting a multi-layered product to the following specifications:
- 3” long
- 18” wide
- 2” or 4” slits
Our Solution:
AZCO designed and manufactured a stand-alone crush cut slitter station with a custom conveyor.
- A customized 6’ conveyor has individual belts that line up with the product.
- The conveyor carries the material to the crush cut slitter.
- The individual belts travel through the slitter between the blades.
- Slitting width is 630mm [24.8in.]
- Unit is supplied with nine pneumatic crush-cut assemblies.
- Adjustments across the width of the unit can be made by moving cutters on the dovetail bar.
- The slitter is a modular unit that is mounted in the middle of the 6’ conveyor. It is designed for quick and simple adjustment, ease of cleaning, and general maintenance.
- An AC motor, drive and controller were added to the slitter assembly.
- The units are mounted on a common baseplate which is mounted to a portable equipment stand.
- The unit works with 110vac – 240vac, 50hz or 60hz
