Step through the setup by pressing the letter or number that the screen asked for or press C to re-start. If you have a special option included you will need to read the ADVANCED SET UP pages also. If this fault is shown when starting:

It means a memory error occurred. The CPU will reset all parameters to their defaults. Press any key to go to the advanced set up menu (see ADVANCED SET UP section).

If the display reads:

SET CUT LENGTH:

[###] (unit)

Key in the length of one piece, either in inches or in milli-meters. (see ADVANCED SETUP section to change). Maximum length you can cut varies depending on the mechanical gearing. After the length is entered Press "E". For example, to cut a 1 inch piece, the number entered should be 001.00; for 100 inches, the number should be 100.00. The decimal point will not change.

b) For machines set up to work in EYE and ONE SHOT WITH EYE mode, advance the display to read:

SET CUT OFFSET:

[###] (unit)

The cut offset means the roller advances the web for an offset length, after the eye detects the registration mark It is necessary because the position of the mark, eye and blade cannot be the same. The distance from the blades edge to the eye mark is this offset. Then enter the value and continue by pressing E.

SEARCH OFFSET:

[###] (unit)

The search offset value helps the machine controller ignore any false photo-eye signals between registration marks. Always put in a distance less than the webs repeat and

SET MAX LENGTH:

[###] (unit)

NOTE: for normal operation, the Search offset should be bigger than the Cut offset, or the motor may not accelerate to high speed.

The maximum length means the maximum the material will go if the eye mark is not detected by the register eye. This can prevent the material over run in case the eye mark or registration eye were not set correctly. Enter the value and continue by pressing E.

The next display is: TOTAL PIECES:
