Slitting Station

Objective:
Copper and aluminum foil need to be slit to size. The copper was .0005” thick and the aluminum foil was .001” thick. A 3” Inside Dimension roll weighed 35lbs. The roll of material was placed on the unwind stand. From the unwind shaft the material went over an idler roller. A dancer assembly controlled the unwind motor drive. The shear cut slitter station slit the foil to size. Urethane drive rollers feed the web thru the slitter station and the material went into a set of guide rollers, which separated each strip of material. A differential airshaft held each new core in place. The advantage of the differential air shaft permits each strip to be rewind to a constant tension.

To gain a competitive advantage the customer has a flexible system to meet the market demands. Compact in size and easy to use this bench top unit provides accurately slit product in a small easy to use package.

It plugs into an 110vac outlet.

 
Dancer Unwind/Rewind
Features:

    •  Unwind will be cantilever design and construction

    •  Unit is powered by a AC variable speed motor and drive

    •  Drive motor maintains a consistent loop of material

    •  The dancer arm will feedback the motor control creating consistent tension

    •  A manual control upper speed limit on the unwind tower controls

    •  Rocker switch allows the unit to change direction for easy setup and versatility

Slitting Station
Features:

•  Modular design including side plates and all ball bearing construction

•  Rotary shear blades include a top dish knife, eccentric locking collar and a lower anvil blade with the eccentric locking collar

•  Slitter blades can easily be adjusted across width of unit; spanner wrenches are included for this adjustment

•  Rotary shear blades provide long life and clean cuts

•  Unit will be provided with (2) blade sets that are adjustable across the width of the unit.

•  Unit will be motorized and include a variable speed controller to adjust the speed of the slitter

Model #RW163       Slip Clutch Rewind
Features:

•  Cantilever design and construction

•  Unit is powered by a DC motor and drive

•  Unit is equipped with a slip clutch so that motor is not starting and stopping constantly which could lead to motor failure

•  Slip clutch is adjustable from 0-5 lbs.

•  A manual speed control knob is located on the unit's tower

•  Capacity of the unit can handle material of 8" Wide x 3" Inside Dimension core x max of 18” Outside Dimension

•  Differential air shaft will be provided with (3) sections. Each section will be 3” wide and will wind independently of the other sections
